Privacy policy
Last updated September 28, 2026
XEmotions ("the app") is a personal mood journal published by Yevhenii Semeniuk ("we"). This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how you can delete it.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address, your display name (if you provide one) and a user ID, when you sign in with Apple, Google or email and password.
- Your records: the emotions you record, the time you record them and any note you attach.
- Diagnostics: crash reports and anonymous usage statistics (which screens are used, how often), which are not linked to your name or email.
Why we collect it
- To sign you in and keep your records available on all your devices.
- To keep the app working and find crashes.
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Where it is stored
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) on our behalf, encrypted in transit and at rest by Google. Firebase acts as our processor and does not use your records for its own purposes.
Who can see your records
Only you. Sharing records with other people is not part of the app.
Sign in with Apple and Google
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive only your email address, your name (if you allow it) and an account identifier from that provider. We do not receive your contacts, friends or any other profile data. The provider's own privacy policy applies to its side of the sign-in.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. Diagnostics are kept for up to 90 days.
Deleting your data
Open the app, tap the account icon on the Record page and choose "Delete account". This removes your account and all your records immediately and permanently. You can also email us at easywordsapp@gmail.com and we will delete them for you. See Delete your account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland) you have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email easywordsapp@gmail.com to exercise any of these rights; we answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 (16 in the EU) and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published at this address with a new date.
